What is Gunkan Gunkan is a special type of sushi, it is an oval hand-formed clump of sushi rice with a strip of nori wrapped around it to form a vessel. It is filled with some soft, loose or fine chopped ingredients such as roe, king crab & mayonnaise or salmon & cream cheese.
